Your health and the safety of Sunshine families, staff, and supporters is our highest priority. The Sunshine Foundation of Canada has been closely monitoring information on COVID-19 as released by the Public Health Agency of Canada and other local and regional public health authorities.

We are excited to announce that Float for Dreams has gone virtual!
Join us on June 20, 2020 as we #FloatForDreams

Float for Dreams is Sunshine’s signature corporate team-building fundraiser and while this year might look different, we’re dipping our paddles a little deeper to bring you fun and engagement in a new way! Help us celebrate Father's Day and raise funds for children across the country living with severe disabilities or life threatening illnesses.

Let’s #FloatForDreams from coast to coast, from bathtub to backyard pool, or even a virtual green screen. Grab a float or some fun water props and have a ‘floatload’ of fun while giving back to your community in the comfort of your own space.

How you can get involved

  • Sign up and begin fundraising – raise $300 as individual to help us reach our goal of $50,000
  • Invite others to your team (optional)
  • Ask your personal network for pledges
  • Stay engaged by joining our contests, aiming to achieve awards and hitting those fundraising milestones
  • Celebrate Father’s Day near or far away with your family:  Send in videos/pictures of you or your team floating in your special way using #FloatforDreams to our Facebook Event page @SunshineFound or Instagram sunshinefound

No matter where you are this year, you can still help us make Float for Dreams the best one yet!

We need your support more than ever

Raising funds for life-changing Sunshine Dreams is now more important than ever. In this isolating time we must recognize the challenge kids and their families are facing living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses. They are already at a higher risk than most for anxiety and depression and will be discouraged by the impact of this pandemic. For many, a Sunshine Dream experience is the only hopeful thing they have. And is a critical piece in their health management. This year, we have approximately 50 more dreams to fulfill and in 2021, there are 100 more dreamers approved for a life-changing experience towards a brighter, more hopeful future.  We now need your help more than ever.

Support Sunshine dreamers in your community.

About The Sunshine Foundation of Canada

The Sunshine Foundation of Canada is a charity based in London, Ontario that transforms the lives of kids and their families living with physical disabilities through our dream programs. Unlike other wish-granting organizations, a Sunshine Dream experience is not a child’s last wish but an opportunity that helps kids build and express a positive sense of self leading to a brighter, more hopeful future.

Over 30 years later, we celebrate 64 Sunshine DreamLifts and over 8,700 young lives transformed by the tremendous impact of having a dream come true. These dreams have helped kids break barriers and write brighter future stories for themselves, showing them that nothing can stay in the way of their dreams.
