Workplace fundraisers can be planned and hosted by organizations, associations, union groups, management teams, co-workers, and anyone raising money as part of a workplace. 

From bake sales to dress down days or even private events, there are lots of ways to engage your workplace in fundraising. Creating your event through Sunshine’s Fundraising Platform provides you with access to a peer-to-peer fundraising system that will allow you to raise vital funds online by inviting people to join your team, sending e-mails to potential donors, tracking donations and submitting proceeds. With a little imagination you can turn any idea into a fundraiser by asking for a participation donation, challenging colleagues/teams to see who can raise the most funds, or giving workplace incentives for the winners.  All events must follow Covid-19 health regulations and guidelines in the region they are hosted.

Workplace Fundraiser Ideas:

Employee Dress Down Days Have employees donate funds to dress down for a day in the office or home office.

50/50 Raffles Gather prizing together and sell raffle tickets to employees. (Please note that proper licencing is required.)

Lunch Gatherings Host a virtual lunch or if it is safe to do so, host an in person lunch group, entrance by donation.

Silent Auctions Gather items from the community for a silent auction in your workplace either in person or online.

Wine Tasting Events Assemble your team to make a donation to participate in a wine tasting event either in person or online.

Matching Gifts Employees donate to the fundraiser and employers match their donations.

Art Show Showcase your most creative members and sell hand-made pieces of art online, asking for donation for viewing, auction it off, or sell the pieces.

Online Games Host an afternoon of games, or during lunch. Consider virtual trivia, or bingo with a fee to participate and prizes for the winners.
